The Center develops and operates diverse social and environmental programs that enhance our region
The Center for Social and Environmental Stewardship (The Center), formerly known as Circuit Rider Productions, Inc. and established in 1976, is a nonprofit community-based organization located in Sonoma County, California. A unique and vibrant organization, The Center is comprised of Environmental Services & Programs and Social Services & Programs.
Social Services & Programs provide educational and vocational training and support services that empower youth and adults to achieve their unique human potential, and to foster success and personal achievement.
Environmental Services & Programs provide ecological restoration, GIS mapping and data development, and environmental education services dedicated to preserving and restoring threatened ecological systems throughout California.
With these two focus areas, The Center maintains a powerful vision of a sustainable future and makes a substantial contribution to the community's well-being.
The Center operates with the belief that human and natural resources -- people, families, communities, forests, fish, soils, water and scenic beauty -- are mainstays of local economies. The Center combines responsible resource management and a trained reliable work force to serve the environmental and economic needs of the community.
